In an extraordinary setting of raw, rugged beauty and splendid solitude are four world-class facilities managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department:
This is the Big Ranch, a vast state park complex spread over more than 350,000 acres of some of the most remote, ecologically diverse, culturally rich terrain in the United States.
Compadres del Rancho Grande is the official non-profit organization working with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to promote and sustain this huge, amazing resource.
Compadres del Rancho Grande was founded in 2004 as a non-profit 501(c)3 support organization for the state parks of Texas’ Big Bend. For more information, click here to download our brochure.
Our Mission is to provide resources to support and sustain the parks, enhance visitor experiences, and educate the public on the wonders of the parks and the importance of their natural and cultural resources.
The Compadres help meet the needs of these parks through fundraising, volunteering, outreach and education. We hope that you will join us.
